The Brief
Brunts Academy required a new triple-science classroom teaching block, inclusive of toilet facilities & landscaping; replacing the existing building.
The Solution
Taking on the full turn-key project, Hawker Construction Ltd ensured the design had been agreed via the Contracts Administrator, with the external appearance agreed on in order to give the rear of the Academy site a lift and a sense of a new beginning. Greenwood Academies Trust had recently acquired the school and were keen to address the many investment needs throughout the site over the summer holidays.
Further essential works included with the project included bringing a larger gas supply to the building, installing PV solar panels and creating level access for all.
Collaborative working with the Contracts Administrator and end user, ensured that the project was completed within budget and agreed programme, with the building ready for the new school year.
