The Brief
The School required 2 science classrooms with separate prep room, the location next to the existing laboratories was suggested as most of the services were in place.
A turnkey package was required to include groundworks, building supply and lab fit out.
The Solution
A standard Hawker 5 wasn't big enough so we proposed a 7 bay twin classroom configuration with the central area being utilised as the prep room. A ground investigation was carried out along with service and drainage checks.
The programme was very fluid on this project due to the lockdown restriction and we were able to take advantage of the school operating a remote learning programme. The late addition of an accessible toilet didn't hinder the project being completed on time and on budget.
