The Brief
The existing school kitchen is due to be demolished later this year, as a result a new replacement kitchen and canteen was required.
The new modular building was to be installed during term time allowing the kitchen to be commissioned during the school holidays ready for the new term.
A more traditional look was requested matching the existing school windows and colour schemes.
The Solution
The location identified for the new kitchen facility had a very old modular building so in came the demolition team and this was removed in a day.
The groundworks followed along with new services, some access works in the form of fence removal was carried out and the site readied for the building install.
The building was installed in one school day with the children watching very keenly. The internal works, external cladding with steps, ramps and paths following close by.
The building was handed over and the first schools meals prepared to the waiting children.
